I really like the Harlan Ellison thinks and expresses himself. Sure he comes off as a dick a lot of the times, but he makes a lot of really great points too. I think he’s just hit a point where he can express what he really thinks without any fear of repercussions.
I wonder if he got paid for this – or he’s pissed that its on YouTube?

Thanks for those vids. I forgot how much I like Harlan Ellison for how he frankly disposes of ignorance and arrogance.
I need to assimilate this trait as best I can. Probably less cussing for me though.

Ellison has done some great writing, and I do admit a fondness for curmudgeons when they really care about something. I remember reading once that he collected fountain pens, which I collect in a small way also. Humans have invented so many beautiful, useful tools. He loves beauty and rationality and he gets really mad when he doesn’t see either. I feel like that often myself. May he continue to be a strong voice for reason.
