I’ve been checking out the Shoemoney System for the last few days, and I haven’t learned anything that I didn’t already know. I’m hoping that it ramps up soon though. The videos are basic basic basic, but I’m sure he’s just leveling the playing field for other users.
The sales letter when you first sign up seemed long and annoying. Why not just do a buy button at the top? I knew I wanted to try it, but still had to sift through all of that stuff.
The videos and coupons that he advertises are released slowly over time, so you can’t just buy a month, watch and download everything and then cancel (shucks).
It looks like the only complete content is the old podcasts that Jeremy did as Net Income and The ShoeMoney Show on Webmaster Radio, but I’ve heard all of those already. It would have been cool if the did the work to edit them down into something more to the point.
I also haven’t been impressed by the promise that the first 100 signups for the system get a special bonus, but it’s been like a week and a half and we still don’t know who we hare. I’m fairly sure I’m in the first 100, because I signed up in 3 minutes, but who knows.
Unfortunately, content is released so slowly that I don’t really have much to say. One of the videos everyone can watch, because it’s public, and the other three are about things I know very well: setting up a Google account, what affiliate marketing is, and setting up a ClickBank account.
I also noticed that many of the users complained about the same things in the week 1 webinar, so I don’t feel completely alone with this.
My conclusion? I’ll give it a little more time before I completely judge…

I have to agree, I’m disappointed by the lack of content available. I don’t subscribe to the “make them hungry and want more” method (although I guess I do, because my membership is current
, but it’s pretty obvious he’s just delaying the video releases, so you will keep your membership. So far, three weeks into “the program”, and there is nothing that I haven’t done before and it’s almost a waste of $200 for the first month. If you’re involved in any sort of affiliate marketing already, everything in the first few weeks is completely novice, like opening up a Google account, etc. Also, like yourself, I signed up in minutes after the launch and am pretty certain I was in the top first 100. Shoe even posted a screenshot of the initial orders and I was 30 something. However, I have received nothing and I imagine I’m not going to. No big deal, it’s only a book and shirt, but to date, I have not heard of anyone, blog comments, posts, twitter, etc that stated they received something. I am tired of “we’re going to show you how soon…” instead of “this is how you do it,” videos. Unless it picks up, and the videos start giving something of value, I will definitely be canceling and requesting my refund before 60 days is up.

I think a lot of the more advanced users feel that way. This is definitely a beginner course.

I really feel like they need to show me something ground breaking or I’m in the same boat. I’ve also use the super great exclusive support they’ve offered to ask some questions about affiliate networks and got some surprisingly canned responses that didn’t help AT ALL. I really hope they take notice of this.
I’ve also noticed in the past few weeks that there is a TOTAL lack of REAL reviews out there. One dude on youtube on the first day or so, but that’s all I’ve seen. Post links to reviews here (if they’re real) and I’m going to do a follow up soon.

[...] Ok, so this is an update post to my original Shoemoney System Review. [...]
The problem with buying into one of such “systems” is the you will me disappointed more often than not.
The issue is that you are looking for a “secret”. There is no secret to success but hard work and consistency. Anything beyond that is complicating the basics or maybe adds 5-10% *extra* to the basics. But if you are looking for the secret(the 5-10% extra ) to make up for lack of basics you will be disappointed every single time.
And as long as there are people who believe in “secrets” being out there…there will be many such “systems” for sale that will promise you secrets for $x.99 per month.

Very true. I’ve known Jeremy since before he came up with the Shoemoney System, so I wanted to give it a shot and see what it’s all about. His system isn’t really about a ‘secret’ so much as training people in the operational aspects of how to make money online. It’s like the Andy Jenkins videos we’re talking about; we all know how to make video, but we want to know how he does it.
Thanks for the comment.

From Jeremy himself:
Here you go dude. Its all handled by Clickbank:
The ShoeMoney System billing is handled by ClickBank. Unfortunately we have no way to initiate a refund to you from our end, but it’s very easy for you to initiate the refund request and get the funds credited back to your bank account in 72 hours.
All you have to do is go to http://www.clickbank.com/orderDetail.htm
Entetr your Order number (this will be in the email you received from ClickBank when you purchased the product) along with your email address and click ‘Submit’
Then follow the step-by-step instructions for requesting a refund.

At last, an honest review! There are hundreds of fake reviews around all neatly wrapped around the writers clickbank id.
I’ve been a full time affiliate marketer for 5 years now. I joined the shoemoneysystem hoping it would help me move to the next level. 5 weeks in I’ve learnt nothing and am about to ask for a refund before my 60 days expires.
I mean really, videos on how to use a forum, how to get a facebook id, how to open a Google account – presented alongside a 19yr old bimbo who apparently discovered the Internet yesterday.
Well done for an honest review!

Thanks for the compliment
I really respect Jeremy, but I couldn’t give a glowing review immediately. I can say – he is willing to give one on one advice to people that contact him directly, so that might make it worth it. I’m in the same boat as you and I wasn’t very happy until recently when we started working one on one on some projects. Check out the updated version of this review on the site as well.
I think this was for new new newbies. He should do an advanced course though…
